Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player won his initial title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in particular - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and eventually separating with long-term trainer Cervara.
Presently working with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents his first championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface since that period of 2023.
The win also indicates he has won twenty-one titles at 21 distinct competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," commented ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, including in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and recurring reactions on court had prompted observers to question if his capacity to perform at the top level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and perform assertively, backed up by an enhanced service.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, securing 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged break points in the following set before the challenger, striving for his initial ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to force a third set.
The opponent rescued four early break points in a close final set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, he earned the win with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman failing to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
